While our translation agency is based in Glasgow, in the UK, with offices in London and Dubai, we operate worldwide and work with a network of freelance translators across the globe who are fluent in many languages and dialects.
What type of translator jobs do you have available?
Our main services are in providing certified translations and technical translations to the medical and life sciences industries. However, we also cover professional services (business, legal, and financial translations), manufacturing (including construction, engineering, health & safety translations) and the technology sector (web, gaming, & app translation). We have frequent job alerts on both a full time and part time basis.
What languages do you cover in your translation services?
We provide language translations in over 200 source and target languages. Some of our most common language requests are to and from English, Mandarin, French, German, Korean, Spanish, Japanese, Dutch, Italian, Portuguese, Arabic, and Polish. What qualifications do I need to be a translator?
At My Language Connection we work with translators who are degree educated. Most translators will have an undergraduate degree as a minimum requirement, though postgraduate qualification is most commonly required to study translation specifically. Relevant degree courses are those that focus on languages, often combined with studies in business, law, and sciences for competitive advantage and industry knowledge. We also take into consideration your skills and expertise gained through relevant translation projects you’ve worked on in the past.
How do I start working as a translator for My Language Connection?
Complete the application form to provide us with your relevant qualifications, references, and translation experience. We require all applicants to provide three references in order to satisfy the requirement of our ISO:17100 certification.
